We have set the ambitious goal of achieving 10,000 solar rooftops city-wide by 2010. Our mission is to help you by designing hassle-free and convenient solutions to your solar needs. We have streamlined the solar permitting process and give planning priority to businesses that meet high-level green building (LEED gold or above) standards.
Global climate change is a major challenge. We cannot wait for others to tackle it for us; we need to take action today. That is why in 2002 we set the goal of reducing San Francisco's greenhouse gas emissions to 20% below 1990 levels by the year 2012 a goal far more aggressive than that set by the Kyoto Protocol.
